Located near this site was the Old Hill Church which was integrated as early as 1818. The church was turned over to black congregants in 1864 and became the first home to Asbury Methodist Episcopal.
 
Location. 39° 24.75′ N, 77° 24.52′ W. Marker is in Frederick, Maryland, in Frederick County. Marker can be reached from South Carroll Street north of East All Saints Street, on the left when traveling north. The marker is on the grounds of Carroll Creek Linear Park, on the south side of the Creek. Touch for map.
