Inscription.  Erected shortly after 1653 by hunters from Huntington Village for protection against the Indians.
 
Erected 1975 by Town of Huntington Bicentennial Committee.
 
Location. 40° 49.213′ N, 73° 25.296′ W. Marker is in West Hills, New York, in Suffolk County. Marker is at the intersection of Chichester Road and West Hills Road, on the right when traveling west on Chichester Road. Touch for map.
