Dr. Maximiliano Ruiz Castañeda
5 de diciembre de 1898 – 1 de octubre de 1992
Médico investigador, académico y político acambayense; colaboró con el doctor Hans Zinsser en la Universidad de Harvard para elaborar la vacuna contra el tifus. En 1938 la perfeccionó conociendosé como la Vacuna Antitífica Castañeda y fue utilizada durante el desarrollo de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.

Dr. Maximiliano Ruiz Castañeda
December 5, 1898 - October 1, 1992
Medical researcher, academic and politician from Acambay. He collaborated with Dr. Hans Zinsser at Harvard University to develop the typhus vaccine. In 1938 he perfected the Castañeda Anti-typhus Vaccine. It was used extensively during World War II.
