1. Early Garage Marker

Early Garage. . Built in the early 1930s by Phillips Petroleum, it was the city's first full-service garage. West of the gas station, it was brick with a wood-framed vaulted ceiling. It was leased to "Hoot" Gipson who operated an auto repair shop and 24-hour wrecker service. He also provided parking to Hotel Seville guests. In 1974, Phillips sold the garage to Wm. W. and Virginia Gregg. In 1998 it was purchased by Gordon and Kandy Gregg Webb as an annex to Kandy's law office in the former gas station.
