1. Feasterville Female and Male Academy Marker
Inscription.  Around 1840 an academy was established at this site by John Feaster, a noted landowner of this area, for the education of female and male students. By 1842, both academy building and a boarding house (dormitory)had been erected. Mr. Feaster, appointed as trustees his sons, Andrew, Jacob, and John M. Feaster.
 
Erected 1970 by Fairfield County Historical Society. (Marker Number 20-11.)
 
Location. 34° 30.134′ N, 81° 21.614′ W. Marker is near Blair, South Carolina, in Fairfield County. Marker is at the intersection of State Highway 215 and Coleman Road, on the left when traveling south on State Highway 215. Touch for map.
