Inscription. Chief Gall and his Sioux warriors forded the river here to attack Custer's troops on the high ground to the northeast.
 
Location. 45° 32.916′ N, 107° 24.688′ W. Marker is in Crow Agency, Montana, in Big Horn County. Marker is on Little Bighorn Battlefield Road. Touch for map.
