Example of southern 'dogtrot' log cabin of 1800's
Inscription.
Autrey House - Built 1849 - Oldest restored dogtrot log house in Lincoln Parish. Built on 200 acres by Absalom Autrey and his wife Elizabeth Norris Autrey after they moved from Selma, Alabama in 1848. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, October 10, 1980.
 
Erected by Lincoln Parish American Bicentennial Committee.
