1. Pleasent Grove School Marker
Inscription. Black institute built soon after school district purchased the land in 1933. School closed in 1953 with 5 teachers/ 159 students. Now a community center.
 
Erected 1992 by Pleasant Grove School Committee. (Marker Number 14-12.)
 
Location. 33° 45.676′ N, 80° 9.29′ W. Marker is in Manning, South Carolina, in Clarendon County. Marker is at the intersection of US 301 and Joe Marie Road, on the right when traveling south on US 301. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: Alcolu SC 29001, United States of America.
