1. White County Marker
Inscription. Established 1806; named in honor of John White, Veteran of the Revolutionary War. First Settler in what later became White County.
 
Erected by Sparta Lions Club.
 
Location. 35° 55.542′ N, 85° 27.852′ W. Marker is in Sparta, Tennessee, in White County. Marker is at the intersection of W. Bockman Way (U.S. 70) and North Main Street (Tennessee Route 84) on W.
