Inscription. This mid-1870 commercial building was built on the corner of Main and 7th streets. This Sonoran style building is the most intact of the four remaining untransformed examples of the adobe-walled, earth-roofed Sonoran traditional design which still stand on Main Street. Inside, the original viga and saguaro-rib ceiling is covered with a tongue-and-groove redwood ceiling. Three canales from the old mid roof are still in place above the rebuilt awning.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Erected 1989 by Town of Florence and Arizona Historical Society.
