Erected 1975 by North Carolina Division of Archives and History. (Marker Number J-64.)
 
Location. 36° 4.81′ N, 79° 47.795′ W. Marker is in Greensboro, North Carolina, in Guilford County. Marker is at the intersection of Battleground Avenue and North Spring Street, on the right when traveling west on Battleground Avenue. Touch for map. Battleground Avenue is one-way westbound.
