Carved in 1919 by a Georgia
stonesmason to pay tribute
to the 82D Division's 328th
Infantry. Moved from Camp
Gordon, Georgia first home
of the 82D, to Fort Bragg in
the 1950s

Infantry, 82nd Division A.E.F.
who made the supreme
sacrafice [sic] for America
in the World War

 
Erected by 82nd Airborne Division Museum.
 
Location. 35° 7.8′ N, 79° 1.331′ W. Marker is in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in Cumberland County. Touch for map. Marker is in the memorial plaza near the entrance to the 82d Airborne Division Museum, Building C-6841, off Ardennes Street near Gela Street. Access is restricted due to Fort Bragg being an active military installation. Marker is in this post office area: Fort Bragg NC 28310, United States of America.
