Army of the Tennessee.
Whittlesey's (3d) Brigade,
76th Ohio, 78th Ohio, 20th Ohio,
L. Wallace's (3d) Division.

This brigade was engaged here at about 11 a.m. April 7, 1862. At 12 m. the 20th and 78th were ordered to the right of the division and were engaged north of McDowell's headquarters. The 76th remained on the left of its division and was engaged 1/2 mile south.
 
Erected by Shiloh National Military Park Commission. (Marker Number 120.)
 
Location. 35° 8.924′ N, 88° 20.902′ W. Marker is in Shiloh, Tennessee, in Hardin County. Marker can be reached from the intersection of Cavalry Road and Sherman Road, on the right when traveling west. Touch for map. 0.15 mile north of intersection, a few yards into the woods west of Jones Field, in Shiloh National Military Park. Marker is in this post office area: Shiloh TN 38376, United States of America.
