1. Taylor Opera House Marker
Inscription. Trenton’s first theater, built here in 1867, presented everyone from Mark Twain and Ethel Barrymore to George M. Cohan before its 1921 conversion to a movie and vaudeville palace as the Capital Theatre. Governors George B. McClellan (1877) and Woodrow Wilson (1910) were both nominated and inaugurated here.
 
Erected 1990 by Kiwanis Club of Trenton.
