1. Cliffs Schoolhouse Marker
Inscription. The last remaining one-room schoolhouse in Kent County. Erected in 1878 to serve a watermen's and farming community and was so used continuously until 1939. One teacher taught seven grades and as many as 46 students.
 
Erected by Maryland Historical Trust, Maryland State Highway Administration.

Schoolhouse is the last remaining one-room schoolhouse in Kent County. It was erected in 1878 to serve this farming community and was used until 1939. The building has been preserved in its original condition and is furnished with many of its original furnishings. (Submitted on February 10, 2011.)
