Inscription. This section of porch with no railing served as a convenient platform for mounting horses and entering carriages.
 
Location. 40° 53.128′ N, 73° 30.066′ W. Marker is in Oyster Bay, New York, in Nassau County. Marker can be reached from Sagamore Hill Road, on the right when traveling north. Touch for map.
