Location. 41° 8.205′ N, 74° 15.593′ W. Marker is in Ringwood, New Jersey, in Passaic County. Marker is on Chicken House Road, on the left when traveling south. Touch for map. 3. Grave of Gen. Robert Erskine
Robert Erskine was Geographer and Surveyer for the American Army during the Revolution. He died in 1780 from pneumonia caught during a mapmaking expedition. General Washington attended the funeral which was held at Ringwood Manor.
