U.S.
Army of the Ohio. Boyle's (11th) Brigade,
Crittenden's (5th) Division.
This regiment was engaged here at 10:30 a.m. April 7, 1862. It advanced 500 yards, was driven back to this place, and after several movements advanced again to the Hamburg Road.
 
Erected by Shiloh National Military Park Commission. (Marker Number 276.)
 
Location. 35° 8.186′ N, 88° 20.208′ W. Marker is in Shiloh, Tennessee, in Hardin County. Marker is on Hornet's Nest Loop 0 miles south of Corinth-Pittsburg Road, on the left when traveling south. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: Shiloh TN 38376, United States of America.
