Inscription. Here in 1793 was made the first clearing in Steuben County by Col. Charles Williamson founder of Bath

Location. 42° 20.002′ N, 77° 19.095′ W. Marker is in Bath, New York, in Steuben County. Marker is on East Steuben Street (New York State Route 415) west of Pulteney Square East. Touch for map.
