Town One Streetscapes
Town One Streetscapes is a not-for-profit corporation formed August 9, 1997, whose main goal is to assist Poland Village and Poland Township in improving the curb appeal of their main roads through the installation of sidewalks, trees and lighting to create a safe community for all generations to enjoy. The members of Town One Streetscapes are forever grateful to the Peterson and Scotford families for their leadership in creating this beautiful park.
The Peterson Family
Raymond W. Peterson 08/01/1920-04/23/2004
Mr. Peterson was born and raised in the Youngstown area. He was a committed family man, successful businessman and active in community affairs. His great love of Poland led his family and friends to support this endeavor and to dedicate the park in his name.
The Scotford Family
John and Judy Scotford have resided in Poland since 1963. They donated the funds to purchase the land upon which Peterson Park now stands. John has developed numerous properties in Poland Village, most notably Town One Square, all of which have enhanced the center of Poland. John and Judy are pleased to support the construction of this important public place for current and future residents to enjoy.
Clock Tower
The clock tower was built in 1999 and enhanced in 2004 to accommodate the carillon and bells. The following individuals and companies made this clock tower possible by their generous contributions and in-kind donations.
