1. Seth Hays Home Marker
Inscription.
Built by Seth Hays [b. 1811]. The first white settler in Council Grove. He lived here with his adopted daughter Kitty & his slave Sally until his death in 1873.
 
Erected by Council Grove Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
