This dock is named in honor of
the First United States Army soldiers
who landed in Normandy
during the invasion of France
in World War II

Dedicated by First United States Army
6 June 1964

 
Erected 1964 by First United States Army.
 
Location. 40° 41.427′ N, 74° 0.752′ W. Marker is in Governors Island, New York, in New York County. Marker is on Kimmel Road, on the right when traveling north. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: New York NY 10004, United States of America.
