Inscription.
Between 1927 and 1999 a 135-foot single-span concrete-encased riveted steel polygonal-chord Pratt pony truss bridge crossed the Little Conemaugh River at this location. First proposed in Henry Hornbostel's 1917 "Comprehensive Plan of Johnstown" the bridge was designed by J.E. Greiner Engineers and built by Ferris Engineering Company. The present bridge (2000) replicates the form and structure of the original.
