1. Setauket Village Green Marker
Inscription.
Site of the first settlement in the Town of Brookhaven April 14, 1655. Battle of Setauket took place here August 22, 1777. Jointly owned by the Setauket Presbyterian and Caroline Episcopal Churches.

2. Setauket Village Green Marker
The Revolutionary War Battle of Setauket took place on August 22, 1777. Continental troops from Connecticut under Brig. Gen. Samuel Holden Parsons attacked a fortified outpost here manned by Loyalists. The Americans failed to drive off the Loyalists, and later returned to Connecticut.
