1. Pioneer Cemetery Marker
Inscription. Dating back to the 1860ís, this cemetery served as a final resting place for many of the famous of Napa Valley pioneers. It wasnít until 1885 that this cemetery site was surveyed and was permanently established as a cemetery known today as Pioneer Cemetery.
 
Erected 1975 by Sam Brannan Chapter No. 1004, E Clampus Vitus.

Location. 38° 34.77′ N, 122° 35.576′ W. Marker is in Calistoga, California, in Napa County. Marker can be reached from Foothill Boulevard (California Route 128) east of Petrified Forest Road. More about this marker. Plaque is located to the left, inside the entrance to the Pioneer Cemetery. The cemetery is on the west side of Foothill Boulevard, between Petrified Forest Road and Lincoln Avenue (Highway 29) in Calistoga, Napa County. This is .7 miles northwest from the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.
