1. Star Drilling Machine Marker
Inscription. This machine was probably manufacturing in Chanute, Kansas in the late 1920's. It had been used in Eastern Kansas from the 1920's through the 1950's. This machine was highly portable when completely assembled and moved easily by horses and a teamster. It is capable of making a hole more than 3500 feet deep with the cable tool rig motion.
