1. Conoy Indian Town Marker

Inscription. From about 1718-1743, the Conoy Indian Tribe had its settlement slightly to the west of here. Closely related to the Nanticoke Tribe, with whom they eventually merged, the Conoy Indians gradually migrated into Pennsylvania from the area of Chesapeake Bay.

Erected 1967 by Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission.
