Inscription. Dedicated to the Fleishman Family, whose family members have served as officers of the Columbia Hebrew Benevolent Society over four generations covering three centuries. Their untiring and devoted service to the Society has been a mitsvah benefiting this beautiful historic cemetery and the entire Columbia Jewish community. Fleischman family members who have served as officers of the Society include:

Barnett Berman (1887-1914)
Sol Fleischman (1916-1925)
Bernard Fleischman, Sr. (1951-2003)
Bernard Fleischman, Jr. (2003-present)
