1. Dodge Manufacturing Company Marker
Inscription. Wallace H. Dodge (1849-1894) founded company 1878; made wood products; moved to this site 1880. Patented wood split pulley 1882, revolutionary for standardized, interchangeable parts. Its innovative products have led to advances in power transmission and conveyor technologies.
 
Erected 1999 by Indiana Historical Bureau and Dodge. (Marker Number 71.1999.1.)

Location. 41° 39.452′ N, 86° 10.606′ W. Marker is in Mishawaka, Indiana, in St. Joseph County. Marker is on Union St 0.1 miles north of E. 7th St, on the right when traveling north. Touch for map. At the intersection of S. Union St / S. Church St / E. 7th St, go eastwards onto Seventh Street, and then immediately turn left onto Union Street. The marker is next to the parking lot for the closed RMG Foundry which is near the end of the street. Marker is at or near this postal address: 500 S. Union St, Mishawaka IN 46544, United States of America.
