1. Old House Plantation Marker
Inscription. Settled ca. 1740 by Daniel Heyward who built Tidal Mill, Textile Factory and export-import business on these grounds before his death in 1777. Original 500 acres King's Grant grew to 16,000 acres, all destroyed by fire ca. 1865
