Erected 2007 by Mystic Seaport.
 
Location. 41° 21.519′ N, 71° 57.92′ W. Marker is in Mystic, Connecticut, in New London County. Marker can be reached from the intersection of Greenmanville Avenue (Connecticut Route 27) and Bruggeman Place, on the right when traveling south. Touch for map. Located in Mystic Seaport. 4. Hays & Ros Clark Shiplift
The elevator part of the shiplift is the broad deck. In the center is a row of keel blocks, timbers that support the ship's keel. The red coverings protect the eight hoisting mechanisms. At right, the whaleship Charles W. Morgan is undergoing restoration. Two of her spars can be seen on the shiplift.
