1. Paulison – Christie House Marker
Inscription. Built about 1775 by John Paulison who owned 150 acres in what was then known as “Old Hackensack”. The farm was raided by the British during the Revolutionary War. In 1826 the house was inherited by his son Paul Paulison. Purchased in 1844 by David Christie for his son Albert Brinkerhoff Christie. The farmhouse remained in the Christie family for 140 years and has seen additions and alterations over the years.
