spirit of Malinda roamed this property. She has been seen by many people on the grounds and in the mansion. Footsteps were heard on the stairs and other sounds indicating her presence. In 1992 a concentrated effort was made to locate the remains of Malinda. A review of historical records, dowsing, use of cadaver dogs, and many hours of work by dedicated people went into this effort. One year later based on the above factors and the finding of bones at this location, her grave was reestablished here. Her head stone, the rose arbor, and garden were replaced. Since this work was started there have been no sightings of Malinda. It is believed by some that she is finally at rest, now that she has a place of her own. Only time will tell if this is true.
