Inscription.
Brearley Cemetery was placed on the National Register of Historical Places by the United States Department of the Interior 1 August 2007. The first burial was in 1842, before that this property was the site of Dardanelle's first educational venture, the Apple Meeting Place and School.

 
Erected 2008 by Yell County Historical Association.
 
Location. 35° 13.162′ N, 93° 10.289′ W. Marker is in Dardanelle, Arkansas, in Yell County. Marker is on North Arkansas Highway 27 (State Highway 27) 0.4 miles west of State Highway 7/155, on the right when traveling west. Touch for map. Cemetery and marker are located on Hwy 27 about 1/4 mile west of the Dardanelle Wal-mart. Marker is in this post office area: Dardanelle AR 72834, United States of America.
