Andrew Carnegie:
A real man of steel

Born 1835 in Scotland
came to USA 1848.
Was a bobbin-boy, clerk
telegraph & newspaper guy,
built bridges, made iron,
near monopolized steel.

Wrote books & became a philanthropist.
He helped build 3000 librarys [sic]
world-wide, including ours.
Anacortes paid half & opened
these doors, 1910.
Carnegie d. [died] 1919.
