1. Silver Spring Shopping Center Marker
Inscription. The 1938 Silver Spring Shopping Center is a superb example of moderne architecture with art deco elements. Designed by noted architect John Eberson, it is a rare example of an early planned shopping center with parking forming Montgomery County's first real downtown.
