1. Brush Carbon Arc Light Marker
Inscription. Hanging from this pole is a 2/3 size replica of the actual Brush Carbon Arc light. Four of these were attached to the top of the Wabash County Courthouse in 1880, thus making Wabash the first electrically lighted city in the world.
 
Location. 40° 47.802′ N, 85° 49.346′ W. Marker is in Wabash, Indiana, in Wabash County. Marker can be reached from the intersection of W. Market Street and S. Miami Street (State Road 15), on the right when traveling east. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: Wabash IN 46992, United States of America.
