1. Confederate Memorial Museum Marker
Inscription.
Built 1883 by town of Columbus, using over 400,000 handmade bricks. Has 32-inch walls. Served as water tower and fire house until 1912. Since 1926 owned by Shropshire-Upton Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy.

Location. 29° 42.332′ N, 96° 32.423′ W. Marker is in Columbus, Texas, in Colorado County. Marker is at the intersection of Milam Street (State Highway 52) and Spring Street, on the right when traveling north on Milam Street. Touch for map.
