The marker was later unveiled on Saturday, September 13, 2014 as a part of the John Boyd Thacher State Park centennial celebration.

5. 1932 Indian Ladder Marker
This is all that remains of the 1932 New York State marker, which was presumed lost to vandals many years ago. This post is near the Craig's Court end of the Indian Ladder Trail, above the steel stairway leading down to the trail. The new 2014 Friends of Thacher Park marker was placed closer to the actual location of the historic Indian Ladder, above the other end of the Indian Ladder Trail, near Thacher Point.
