Historical Marker
On Monday May 1, 1865, shortly before 8:00 a.m., the train bearing the body of President Lincoln stopped briefly at this site.

This marker, erected by the Westville Women's Club, honors the centennial anniversary of this event.
 
Erected 1965 by Westville Women's Club.
 
Location. 41° 32.508′ N, 86° 54.141′ W. Marker is in Westville, Indiana, in LaPorte County. Marker is at the intersection of W. Main Street and Monon Street, on the right when traveling west on W.
