1. Sequoia Park Zoo Marker
Inscription. Sequoia Park Zoo has been an integral part of Eureka's community since 1907. Founded on land acquired from the Glatt family to be used as a city park, the zoo has provided a home for many cherished animals and fond family memories. For more than a century our zoo has been a treasured place for children of all ages to explore and learn about wildlife, nature and its conservation.
 
Erected 2009 by Native Sons of the Golden West, Duane R. Gavin, Grand President. (Marker Number 2008-9.)
