1. Roscoe Cemetery Marker
Inscription. One of first settlers in Roscoe (then called Vista) was rancher-wheat grower W.J. Turner, who purchased cemetery site for burial of his brother-in-law, Joe Cleckler, about 1887. Next interments: infants Frank E. Spires, 1892; Ethel Lena Turner, 1894. Other early graves are unidentified.
 
Erected 1972 by Texas State Historical Survey Committee. (Marker Number 14832.)
 
Location. 32° 27.556′ N, 100° 31.448′ W. Marker is near Roscoe, Texas, in Nolan County. Marker is on County Road 104 one mile south of County Road 377-P, on the right when traveling south. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: Roscoe TX 79545, United States of America.
