Inscription. The last blacksmith shop in Orleans County stood near this site. It was owned by John W. Cielewich (1894-1977), in whose memory this plaque is dedicated. The property was presented to the Village of Medina by his family.

Marker is on Mill Street east of North Main Street (New York State Route 63), on the right when traveling south. Marker is fixed to the rear of the downtown building whose address is 421 North Main Street. The rear of the building faces the Erie Barge Canal. Mill Street (labeled Manilla Place by Google) is the roadway between the back of the building and the Erie Barge Canal. Touch for map.
