Regarding Lockbourne AFB, Ohio. Rickenbacker (formerly Lockbourne) AFB was this contributor's first permanent USAF duty station in the mid-late 1970s, just before the active base was closed. His daughter and son-in-law have been proudly serving with the Ohio Air National Guard there from before the time the marker photo was taken and are still serving as of the date of posting. Many of the KC-135 tanker aircraft based there are nearly as old as the contributor.
