1. Ora Porter Marker
Inscription. Ora Porter, born in Butler Co., in 1880, moved to Bowling Green at age 10. She graduated from Tuskegee Institute School of Nursing and was among the earliest registered nurses in Ky. She was an organizer of the George Washington Carver Community Center, the Interracial Commission, an active campaigner for civic improvement. Died, 1970.
 
Erected 2004 by the Kentucky Historical Society, Kentucky Department of Highways. (Marker Number 2149.)
