Inscription. For many years this site was a vacant lot. In the late 1930s Mr. Templeton converted the lot into a dance pavilion. He constructed a wood floor, added lights and surrounded it with a fence. Couples who came to dance on Saturday nights paid ten cents each. Originally, music was provided by local volunteers. Later, town merchants hired musical groups to perform, and dancing was free.

The pavilion, which operated until the early 1940s, also hosted boxing matches on week nights.

This building was constructed in 1958. It was used for many businesses until 1998 when it was purchased by Mary Ellen Fresquez. It was first opened as Ink It! and was the home of Gallery 225.
