Location. 42° 5.118′ N, 110° 56.898′ W. Marker is near Cokeville, Wyoming, in Lincoln County. Marker is on U.S. 30 near East Main Street (Wyoming Highway 232), on the right when traveling north. A remnant of Meeker's marker sits atop this monument.
70's but still hale and hearty, Meeker crossed the continent with his replica covered wagon, raising funds to erect memorials along the route and eventually meeting with President Theodore Roosevelt in Washington, D. C.
