1. Pinnacle Rock Marker
Inscription. Erosion—Nature’s cutting tool—has chiseled away the stone on this spur of Flat Top Mountain, leaving this giant cockscomb more than 2700 feet above sea level. Several counties may be seen from these cliffs.

Location. 37° 19.269′ N, 81° 17.575′ W. Marker is near Bluewell, West Virginia, in Mercer County. Marker is on Coal Heritage Road (U.S. 52) north of Bluewell, on the left when traveling north. Touch for map. Marker is in this post office area: Bluefield WV 24701, United States of America.
