1. Carr Creek Center Marker
Inscription. Olive V. Marsh and Ruth E. Watson from Mass., aided by the Daughters of the American Revolution, carved this center of learning out of a wooded hillside overlooking rustic “Singing Carr.” When organized, September 1, 1920, it was dedicated to the education of mountain youth and is maintained by the contributions of many friends and the Knott Co. Board of Education.
 
Erected 1968 by Kentucky Historical Society, Kentucky Department of Highways. (Marker Number 1152.)
