This apparent attempt at renaming the Bird Island Pier has not taken hold. Google maps uses Bird Island Pier as the name.

Marker is at the beginning of the Bird Island Pier at the south end of Unity Island and Broderick Park. Access is via the Ferry Street Bridge from Niagara Street (NY Route 266) and over the Black Rock Channel to Unity Island. Touch for map.
